"This is my last lesson ever."
"This is my last Tyne Kids ever."
"This is my last church meeting ever."
"This is my last TK Plus ever."
I admit, this week I have been more dramatic than usual. I added on 'ever' to pretty much every sentence I said, even when it wasn't true. Mostly, it wasn't true. Ever.
There is something especially sad though, in saying goodbye to the things you helped make and the things you have seen grow.
It's a bit like making a whole load of fairy cakes iced in bright pink and silver and watching them being gobbled down by hungry ten year olds... you know that they've served their purpose and completed their mission in life, but really, they looked so nice sitting prettily on the plate...
